So after running it intermittently last year, Singapore Airlines have officially launched the Spontaneous Escapes as a regular feature.

What is KrisFlyer Spontaneous Escapes?

Singapore Airlines releases a list of discounted KrisFlyer redemption Saver awards, in both Economy and Business, to select destinations every month, at 30% off the usual redemption rates.

The deals are usually available for a very short time, and travel is also limited to the following month, making this perfect if you have unused leave or you are in need of a spontaneous holiday.

Offer destinations for February 2019

For the launch, they have offered a very generous 50% off the usual economy class redemption rates, and business cabins at economy rates.

Some interesting destinations and redemption rates include:

• Shanghai, Beijing: 10,000 miles each way for Economy, 20,000 miles each way for Business
• Auckland: 28,000 miles each way for Business
• Rome, Zurich, London: 19,000 miles each way for Economy

If you are looking at the non-stop flights to US, Los Angeles is also on offer – you can redeem for a Premium Economy seat at Economy rate of 38,000 miles each way. Not that great a deal if you ask me, nonetheless.

Booking deadline

Redeem your tickets from now till 28 February 2019, for travel between 1 to 31 March 2019 (except for Los Angeles, for travel up to 30 April 2019).

Remember that the discount will only show up after selecting the flight, so do not worry if it looks like there’s no discount.
