Singapore Airlines restarting Frankfurt-New York and Hong Kong-San Francisco flights

Singapore Airlines will resume two more fifth freedom flights in November: Frankfurt to New York and Hong Kong to San Francisco Singapore Airlines announced that it will reinstate two fifth freedom services to USA in November 2021, using the four-class Boeing 777-300ERs. The two services will resume SIA’s pre-pandemic connection between Frankfurt and New York as well as Hong Kong and San Francisco. Both these services will originate from Singapore to Frankfurt and Hong Kong respectively, before carrying on to USA. SIA last flew between Hong Kong and San Francisco in February 2020, and between Frankfurt and New York in March 2020, just as the COVID-19 pandemic was taking hold. Tapping on reopening markets This is the continuation of SIA’s strategy in tapping on regions with progressively relaxed border measures in recent months. Singapore Airlines to operate non-stop services to New York JFK from November

The three-times a week service will bypass Frankfurt for the first time since the 1990s. Singapore Airlines has announced the resumption of its Singapore-New York service, this time round with a non-stop service to New York’s John F. Kennedy (JFK) international airport. The non-stop flights to New York will restart from 9 Nov 2020 operating three times a week, using the 3-class variant of its Airbus A350 aircraft. This will be the airline’s second US destination after Los Angeles since the network reduction due to Covid-19. For the record, SIA used to serve two airports in the Greater New York area just before Covid-19 struck: a daily service to JFK via Frankfurt, and a second non-stop service to Newark Liberty Airport (EWR). The schedule Singapore Airlines has picked new flight numbers – SQ24 and SQ23 – for this service. Fun Fact: SQ23/24 was the same flight numbers SIA used to operate Singapore-Amsterdam-Newark back in the 1990s up to early 2000s. The flights were operated using the Boeing 747s. Singapore Airlines to commence A350-900ULR non-stop services to Los Angeles from 2 November 2018; terminates Seoul-Los Angeles route

Singapore Airlines will start its long-awaited Singapore-Los Angeles non-stop services from 2 November 2018, using the two-cabin Airbus A350-900ULR. Starting the first week off with three services, daily service will commence from 9 November 2018, and another three weekly services will start from 7 December 2018, making it a total of 10 services a week.
