FLIGHT REVIEW: Emirates B777-300ER Business Class, Dubai – Singapore

I was back at Dubai International Airport at Terminal 3 barely 20 hours after touching down the night before from London to catch my connecting flight back to Singapore.

Emirates provides four shuttles on the seven-hour hop between Dubai and Singapore each day. Of the four flights, two are A380 services that terminates in Singapore, while the other two are B777-300ERs that operates onwards to Melbourne and Brisbane.

FLIGHT REVIEW: Emirates A380 Business Class, London (Gatwick) – Dubai

Returning from my trip to London after the New Year holiday, I booked myself on Emirates business class via Dubai back to Singapore. I was pretty excited since it was my first time trying out their business class product. On this journey, I deliberately booked myself on both the A380 and the Boeing 777, which are the only two aircraft types that Emirates operate, to get a taste of what the business products Emirates serves its customers.

FLIGHT REVIEW: Singapore Airlines A330-300 Regional Business Class, Taipei – Singapore

Singapore Airlines / 28 Aug 17 / A330-300 / SQ879 TPE-SIN / Business Class While planning for my weekend trip to Taipei I realised that Sunday evening flights back to Singapore were getting really expensive, so I decided to burn some miles as a treat to get home on Singapore Airline’s business class, partly to review the SilverKris lounge at Taipei airport which hardly had any reviews online (for good reasons). Some people may not believe that short haul business class tickets are worth burning miles on, but I beg to differ. By contrast, Singapore-Male is comparable in terms of flight time, but it will cost you another 7,500 miles in business class. In terms of value per mile, given that SIN-TPE business class tickets on SQ trends around …

FLIGHT REVIEW: Qantas Business Suites (A330-200), Singapore – Sydney

Qantas Airways / 28 Apr 17 / A330-200 / QF81 SYD-SIN / Business Class / 5A I returned from a work trip in Sydney on a Friday morning, catching the first of two daily Qantas flights back to Singapore. QF81 departs at 10.25am arriving into Singapore slightly before 4pm, while the later flight QF5 leaves Sydney at 3.15pm for a close to midnight arrival into Changi. Out of Singapore, Qantas also serves Brisbane, Melbourne and Perth. Qantas’ international flights departs from Sydney International Terminal (Terminal 1). Qantas check-ins are at Rows C & D, on the left wing of the airport once you enter. Check-in was relatively quick but do note that if you are taking economy class, the queues in the morning can stretch really long (we are talking about a half hour wait or longer) so be sure to arrive early at the airport with ample time before your flight. Immigration and customs on the other hand was a breeze. Ever since Australia granted citizens of several countries (Singapore included) the use of …
